TessArae® is a private company that designs and delivers the most cost-effective, highly multiplexed, targeted DNA sequencing diagnostics available on the market today.
We provide solutions for two key markets: microbial detection and genetic testing.

President and CEOMD (Harvard Medical School), BA (Yale College). Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, UCSF Medical Center. Previous clinical faculty at Stanford Medical Center. Former investment banker in the mergers & acquisitions departments of several firms: Lazard Freres, UBS Securities and SGCowen. Transactional experience in a wide variety of industries and products, including capital raising, leveraged buyouts and public mergers. Former Independent Director on the Board of Cowen Group, a publicly-traded healthcare and technology investment bank: Audit and Corporate Governance Committees.
Clark Tibbetts, PhD
EVP and CTO, FounderBA, Chemistry (Amherst College, 1968); PhD, Biophysics and Chemistry (Caltech, 1972). Research supported by NCI and NHGRI led to novel DNA-based applications and technologies applied in molecular virology (Postdoc, Wallenberg Laboratory, Uppsala, Sweden) for tumor virus genetics and human genomics (University of Connecticut Health Center, Vanderbilt University). Dr. Tibbetts started academic enterprise institutes for bioinformatics and biotechnology at George Mason University and Virginia Tech. Advisor to Department of Energy and NIH Genome Programs. Served on the National Genome Research Review Committee. Tibbetts oversaw Department of Defense collaborative effort to develop and validate the resequencing pathogen microarray (RPM) platform for public health and Biodefense surveillance. Co-FounderMD (University of Iowa), MPH (University of Texas). Retired as Assistant Air Force Surgeon for Readiness, Science and Technology at rank of Brigadier General. Former Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for the Chemical and Biological Defense Program. Former SVP, Business Development for Compressus, Inc. Senior executive with extensive background in business strategy, business development, financial oversight, and scientific program management at all levels of healthcare organizations. Lou Paladeau, BBA
COO and CFO
BBA in Accounting (The College of William & Mary). Extensive operations, finance, and technology experience in all facets of product and service development including strategic planning, major contract negotiation, business development, team building, project management, and financial management.
Matthew Lorence, PhD, MBA
SVP, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development
PhD, Molecular Biology (University of Texas); MBA, Marketing Management (University of Texas). NIH postdoctoral research fellowship (UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas), 13 peer-reviewed publications. Marketing and business development positions at Bio-Rad, Applied Biosystems and Affymetrix focused on the development of applications in microbiology, infectious disease, and Biodefense.
Agnieszka Lichanska, PhD
Laboratory Director
BSc(Hons) and PhD in Biochemistry (University of Queensland). Postdoctoral fellow in medical genetics and ophthalmology, Queens University Belfast. Later as a lecturer leading research in functional genomics in School of Dentistry at the University of Queensland. More than 20 peer-reviewed publications.
